This ‘Twisted Sister’ is the rarest form of Totem Pole cactus. We purchased our stock from Ed and Betty Gay in the early 1980′s. It was located by Mexican botanists twenty plus years later and then featured in an article in the Cactus Journal. It is recognized by authorities such as David Yetman (who authored the wonderful book The Great Cacti) as a separate species as grows hundreds of miles further south than the other two forms. Still very rare in the trade. I doubt you can find it anywhere else in the country but now it is reasonable priced for your collection (I paid $35 per foot for two small cuttings 30 years ago!)
