We have Gene Joseph to thank for this wonderful prickly pear. I am an easy mark for ridiculous spination and O. sulphurea is the finest of the entire family. We finally got a plant to enough size in 2010 to see it bloom a very pure beautiful golden yellow. It is sun and frost hardy here as originates in the desert area of Argentina.
This larger size is offered for the impatient who don’t want to wait for a season to get more of a good thing. The bright green fat pads with ‘sick’ spination are a winning combination. My large propagator just gets better with age and size.
